Synopsis

1947. Prof. Humbert becomes obsessed with her landlady's daughter, Lolita, a sly and bewitching nymphette who reminds him of a tragic love affair from his youth. To win the daughter, he marries the mother. When the mother dies, he gets named as the orphan's guardian. Lolita then crowns her epic game of seduction with a dizzying and dangerous trek across America.
