Superchondriac

Romain Faubert is alone – going on 40, he has no wife, no children. A photographer for an online medical dictionary, his profession does nothing to attenuate his acute hypochondria, which too long ago became the ruling element in his lifestyle, reducing him to a bundle of fear and neuroses. With internet comes compulsive Google searches, starting out with “little aches and pains” and inevitably winding up with results on “metastasized cancer”. That doesn’t do much to assuage his phobias about germs and disease.
His one and only friend is his general practitioner, Dr. Dimitri Zvenka, who at least at first made the fatal error of actually liking Romain – a state of affairs he now bitterly regrets.
Romain’s psychosomatic problems are endless trouble and Dimitri would give anything to be rid of him once and for all, especially now that the intrusive patient – who invites himself to sleep over at the house – is really starting to get on the nerves of Dimitri’s wife.
