Synopsis

In the powerful Mouret family, cousins traditionally marry. But the starry-eyed Marie-Jo falls in love with Marcus, the chain breaker from the circus passing through town. The eldest of the Mouret clan, an obstinate and wise old lady, comes to her defence and no one in the family wants to step on her toes.
