Synopsis
Episode 1: THE ICE AGE:
How did animals acutely sensitive to heavy frost such as squirrels, deer or hedgehogs manage to resist for 80,000 years in such harsh climatic conditions? Then, 12,000 years ago, everything abruptly changed. A slight shift in the earth’s astronomical configuration caused the climate to warm up.
Episode 2: THE GOLDEN AGE OF THE FOREST
This episode recounts the forest’s golden age. In the span of a few centuries, trees has covered the continent and brought along with them, “the forest people”. In the shade of the large trees, wildlife ran its course for over 6,000 years, following the rhythms of the seasons that had returned.
Episode 3:OVER THE COURSE OF HISTORY:
The forest receded and the countryside appeared. Territories were modified and new landscapes emerged. Once again, wildlife had to resist and adapt to new environments or flee… if it could.
