Synopsis

Revolt is afoot in the kingdom of Naples. The chief conspirator, the handsome Castelli with his golden singing voice, gets in to the palace. He whispers sweet nothings to the lovely Queen Geneviève and winds up getting himself arrested. He is to be shot, but the appeals of Geneviève and the Chief of Police hold sway and King Murat pardons him, to the joy of the people.
