Synopsis
A young, recently married lord, is ordered to a province which is at war. Having been warned by prophecy that his wife will betray him in his absence, he entrusts her to Maxime de Falindor. With all the pitfalls and temptations, Falindor manages to keep his promise, returning the wife to the young lord with her honor intact.
