Synopsis

July, Montreal, Canada. Sophie Malaterre hears about an apartment-swapping site: switch.com. She needs a change of scenery and decides to give it a try. As luck would have it, she finds herself in a duplex in Paris. Her first day there is idyllic. But, the next morning she meets with a rude awakening: as the police break down the apartment door, Sophie discovers she is sharing her apartment with a headless corpse. She has no way of proving that she is not Bénédicte Serteaux, the owner of the premises. Her fingerprints are on the murder weapon, Bénédicte’s passport has Sophie’s photo in it. Sophie hasn’t only switched flats, she’s also switched identities.
